The game is based on the card battling premise of Magic: The Gathering, but with a fully 3D environment and characters that battle it out on real-time battlefields. In Clash Royale, players take on the role of one of several powerful wizards, dwarves, or dragons who compete to collect resources and build an arena-sized army in order to defeat their opponent and become the ultimate ruler of the world. Players can collect cards that give them unique abilities and strategy tips in the form of Poe’s Tales.
The objective of the game is to defeat your opponent by getting their tower down to zero health while protecting your tower. It was released on March 2nd, 2016 for Android devices. Clash Royale is a free-to-play, online battle arena mobile game developed and published by Supercell.
